Vehicle rental distribution company CarTrawler says it has now gone live with Italian low-cost airline Myair.com.
The deal brings to 95 the number of airlines with which CarTrawler is now associated, as well as 1,500 online travel agencies. Myair will now be able to sell real-time inventory and pricing from major care rental suppliers (independent and branded) in each of the 30 Italian and European destinations it serves.
“This marks a very important milestone for both Myair and CarTrawler enabling [Myair] to dynamically cross-sell car rental to their customers,” said CarTrawler chief technical officer Bobby Healy.
CarTrawler now has agreements with carriers such as LOT Polish Airlines, VLM, Blue1 and technology company SITA. CarTrawler says that 4-5% of flight bookings equally result in car bookings.
Myair now has seven Airbus A320-200s and four Bombardier CRJ-900 aircraft (with 15 more on order).
