Green Lakes opens doors

Emirates Hotels and Resorts, the hospitality division of Emirates Airline has opened its doors to its first venture into the luxury serviced apartments market - Green Lakes Serviced Apartments.

Green Lakes Serviced Apartments will be located by the Jumeirah Lake Towers precinct.

The apartments will feature 141 one-bedroom, 29 two-bedroom and 11 three-bedroom luxurious flats, fully-fitted kitchens, open-plan living and dining areas and en-suite bathrooms.

Every apartment is equipped with flat screen satellite TV’s, DVD’s/CD players, Ipod docking stations and internet broadband.

“Serviced Apartments are growing in popularity worldwide, as their convenience, comfort and cost benefits are realised, especially amongst those requiring longer-term stays,” said resorts and projects senior vice president Tony Williams.

“In Dubai regular business travellers, family groups, and a large number of corporate consultants and contractors require accommodation for periods of up to three or more months, and they choose to have a home rather than a standard hotel.”

According to the Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DMTC) the number of serviced apartment guests rose by 11% in 2007 and stays averaged at 4.29 nights.

Services in the apartments include daily housekeeping, full reception, concierge, security and valet parking.

In addition, guests have direct access to the Timeless Spa facilities, where massages and beauty treatments are on offer at the Harbour Hotel and Residence.
