Swiss hotel group reports soaring profits
Swiss hotel chain Mövenpick Hotels and Resorts reported pre-tax profits for 2006 €5.35m (8.7m CHF), a 44% rise compared with the figure for 2005 of €3.75m (6.1m CHF).
The group said its earnings had now risen for the fourth consecutive year. Overall sales for 2006 totalled €428.45m (696.8m CHF), compared to €381m (619.6mCHF).
During the year, Mövenpick opened four new hotels and signed management agreements for nine new projects.
