Our client is one of the largest global airlines with an operating schedule of up to 20 flights per day to/from the UK. The parent company is based in Dallas/Fort Worth, USA, with a regional headquarters in West London.

 

Position: Agent Customer Services (Transfers) Location: Heathrow Airport  Salary: £11.5k p.a. + London Weighting Allowance + shift premiums Benefits: Pension, Life Assurance, Permanent Health Insurance, 20 days annual leave plus Bank/Public Holidays and excellent flight privileges 

 

ABOUT THE JOB: Our client is now looking to recruit a Transfer agent to join a team of 7 to support a group of Transfer Coordinators to ensure a seamless transfer experience for customers between terminals 3 & 5 at Heathrow airport. The role requires an understanding of all customer transfer areas associated with the Company and its partners and to work flexibly across the three carriers. On a day to day basis, this role takes instruction from a team of Transfer Coordinators. 

 

Please note no previous airline experience is required for this role, full training will be provided.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES: a) Provide a consistently high quality customer service ensuring a seamless transfer experience at all contact points.  b) Perform a limited range of airport related duties and be prepared to support the daily transfer operation in any capacity required.  c) Work closely with and take instructions from the Transfer Coordinators responsible for the flight/work area/shift. d) Promote partner airline services and products to our customers. e) Attend and successfully complete all compulsory training by given deadlines. 

 

ESSENTIAL SKILLS/EXPERIENCE a) Confident, self-motivated and enthusiastic.  b) Excellent interpersonal skills and able to communicate both written and verbally to a high standard.  c) Strong customer focus and who enjoys face to face contact with customers.  d) Ability to resolve conflicts within time constraints and without losing control. e) Ability to handle stress effectively and work with minimum supervision and enjoys working in a fast paced, diverse and dynamic environment. f) Reliable and punctual with a well groomed appearance.  g) Willing and able to work in a shift environment (including weekends, bank and public holidays). h) Willing and able to attend and complete all relevant training.

 

DESIRABLE SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:  a) Computer knowledge including Microsoft Word, Excel and e-mail.  b) A clean valid UK driving license as some airside driving may be required in the future. c) Experience or knowledge of airlines or airports.
