An experienced and tenacious sales/sccount manager is sought by a Manchester-based independent travel management company. The role is based in London/South of England

 

Reporting to the Head of Sales, you will be responsible for identifying potential opportunities for new business within the Not for Profit sector, pro-actively responding to requests from prospective and existing clients, generating leads and converting to sales, in addition to the development and growth of existing customers through effective account management.

 

Primary Objectives and Responsibilities

  • Develop profitable new business by effective territory management, including cold calling, generating leads, database search, client networking and referrals 
  • Develop schedules to ensure existing clients are managed effectively 
  • Prepare daily and weekly reports and provide feedback to Head of Sales  
  • Provide analysis of travel purchasing data and identify cost-saving opportunities 
  • Prepare, analyse and deliver client management reports 
  • Prepare and present information including RFI’s and Tender Proposals 
  • Conduct client presentations and product training
  •  Identify and attend client specific exhibitions and other promotional and networking     events 
  • Monitor travel industry changes which may impact clients

  • Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy
  • Ability to work autonomously and contribute fully within a team
  • Strong face to face negotiation skills
  • Ability to achieve targets and meet deadlines
