Amadeus has signed a three year deal with Virgin Atlantic, the IT company said today (October 2).

The agreement will give the GDS access to the niche carrier's full content with no surcharges or opt-in fees for agents.

A statement by Amadeus said the same Virgin fares and inventory will be offered to its agents as are available through other direct or indirect channels.

Jon Harding, Virgin Atlantic general manager international and distribution, said: "We have always been and remain committed to travel agencies who form an essential part of our multi-channel distribution strategy."

Ian Wheeler, Amadeus's vp marketing and distribution, said:  "We are pleased to be able to offer travel agencies the security of knowing they will be able to access the full range of Virgin Atlantic content through Amadeus."
