The Guild of Travel Management Companies (GTMCGuild of Travel Management Companies) has announced four new members.
Giles Travel, Wings Corporate Travel, TD Travel Group and Scholefield Turnbull & Partners joined the GTMC after it launched a recruitment campaign in February at the Business Travel and Meetings Show.
Anne Godfrey, GTMC's CEO, said: "As part of our commitment to change, the GTMC recently announced a more open and transparent membership model and this coupled with some successful high profile lobbying on behalf of our members has heightened interest from prospective members.
"Without doubt the GTMC provides unrivalled opportunity to establish networks and exchange views and experiences with peers, suppliers and key industry stakeholders. Four new members in eight weeks is unprecedented in the history of the GTMC!"
David Giles, chairman of new member Giles Travel, said: "Under Anne Godfrey's leadership, we recognise many of our values in what we see as a revitalised Guild of Travel Management Companies - and believe membership of the GTMC is a vital element to our growth strategy. Anne's objectives for a freshly focused Guild and her ethos in achieving this reflect our own ideals."
Giles added that the company has ambitious growth targets, aiming to make business double in turnover in the next five years.
The GTMC decided to scrap its £7,000 joining fee in January in preparation for a major recruitment drive. Under Godfrey, the organisation is seeking to become more inclusive.
The GTMC also launched its first business travel manifesto in February. It was the organisation's first ever move into the political arena. It is hoped the manifesto will help influence politicians making decisions on transport.
