Cross-channel rail services between London and Brussels remain suspended today (February 17), while trains between London and Lille continue to run with delays.
On Monday, two Belgian commuter trains collided head on near Halle, southwest of Brussels, leaving at least 18 people dead and dozens injured, reports say.
The accident occurred where the domestic lines and high-speed lines meet. Thalys and TGV have also been unable to operate on the route since Monday.
Eurostar has advised passengers to cancel or defer their trips. "You will be able to exchange your tickets for a later date or have them refunded," said the rail operator.
Eurostar came under attack, in the independent enquiry into the severe delays in December, for not providing alternative transport arrangements for passengers trying to get home, when services were cancelled for several days.
It has on this occasion drafted an emergency shuttle bus service between Brussels Midi and Lille Europe, which takes more than 1hour 30 minutes.
The service is for passengers who have "an essential need to travel" and it has "very limited capacity", said Eurostar.
Eurostar's Paris services are running normally.
