Easyhotel debuts in Germany

Low-cost brand Easyhotel has opened a 125-room hotel in Berlin, with a Dubai property also due to join the fold later this year.

The Easyhotel Berlin Hackescher Markt is located on Rosenthaler Strasse to the north east of the city, within walking distance of Museum Island. The 125 rooms all feature air conditioning, and chargeable facilities including satellite TV, wifi, luggage storage and extra towels.

This latest Easyhotel opening follows the brand's debut in the Bulgarian capital of Sofia in January, with a property in Dubai's Jebel Ali Free Zone set to be unveiled in the next few months.

The group now has a total of 11 hotels open - five in London, as well as properties in Luton, Basel, Zurich, Budapest, Sofia and Berlin.
