Concur to unveil iPhone solution

The Concur Mobile travel and expense management service is to be extended to the iPhone, the company has announced.

The service, already available for the BlackBerry and Windows Mobile devices, will be unveiled as an iPhone app at the upcoming NBTA Convention in San Diego.

iPhone users will soon be able to manage their itinerary, conduct in-policy travel transactions, capture T&E data and approve expense reports while on the move.

The new iPhone app is part of a wider enhancement to Concur's main travel and expense (T&E) management platform.

Other enhancements include new capabilities for travel managers including configurable message boards, more displayed fares and full TSA compliance.

Amadeus gets Flybe baggage function

Flybe has released a baggage script which lets Amadeus -connected agents pay for hold luggage in advance.

Agents using Amadeus' global distribution service (GDS) will now be able to automatically calculate a client's baggage charge when flying with Flybe.

The tool also completes and stores all relevant GDS entries.

The airline said the new script "streamlines and simplifies" the process and was a step towards universal distribution through its GDS partners.
