Budget hotel company Premier Inn has signed a global distribution deal with Amadeus.

It is the first time Premier Inn rooms will be sold via a global distribution system (GDS).

Hugo Ehrnreich, head of hotel distribution at Amadeus, said demand for budget hotels is "soaring"

"Having Premier Inn content is great news for us as it further increases our UK and Ireland market coverage and gives Amadeus a well-balanced portfolio of hotel content across all price ranges."

With the deal, Premier Inn hopes to expand its distribution, focusing on new business from France, Spain, Italy and Germany.

All of Premier Inn's 580 properties will be available via GDS from mid-August.

premier inn new deal with Amadeus

Great to hear Premier Inn will be have facility of selling via Amadeus. One of the main reasons Tmc's book online ie Premier Inn Business account is because substancial amount of corporates still require Tmc's to arrange payment with hotel vendor.Appreciating the Conferma solution allows Tmc's to still use gds as booking mechanism the fact such budget hotels dont get the maximum of sales via gds is the addressing of Tmc's requirement to pay on behalf of corporates.

Cannot understand why given a guarantee credit card is required within gds bookings, that the vendor cannot modify their procedures to accepting that the guaranteed card is also the form of payment. Then we would all book Premier Inn on Galileo , Amadeus like there was no tomorrow!
