4000 properties now in Europe
Egencia, an online business travel agency, has expanded its hotel programme across Europe.
The agency said the Egencia Preferred Hotel Programme now had nearly 4,000 IN Europe for business travellers.
The company said it now had about 85,000 hotels worldwide.
Egencia, part of the Expedia group, said it planned further rapid expansion of its hotel programme in Europe.
The programme allows for same day cancellations and additional services including high speed internet access, early check-in, breakfast, loyalty points and free parking.
Christophe Pingard, Egencia's senior vp Europe, said: "Face-to-face meetings are still considered very important to the majority of business people, but, in today's challenging economic climate, companies realise they need to manage not only air but also hotel booking more accurately, combining vital cost-effectiveness and top quality service for their travellers.
"With the roll out of the Egencia Preferred Hotel Programme, we are bringing further precision and value to corporate travellers worldwide."
Egencia said it was also expanding its integrated TripAdvisor hotel reviews service into Europe, to let bookers compare hotel choices through other travellers' reviews.
