New business class for Finnair

Finnair is launching its first fully flat bed in business class, with the arrival of its new A330 aircraft.

The Contour Vantage seat reclines to a fully horizontal position, and 90% of seats have direct aisle access. One third of the seats have no seat next to them.

Tomi Hänninen, Finnair's UK sales director, said: "There has been a perceptible pick-up of business travel in Europe-Asia traffic, apart from the Finnish market area. The new aircraft and the enhanced service will therefore be needed."

The A330 aircraft will be used on shorter long-haul routes, such as from Helsinki to New York, Delhi, Seoul and Nagoya.
