Oman Air orders five A330’s

Oman Air has signed a firm contract with Airbus for five new aircraft from the A330 family at the Dubai Airshow. The order is for three A330-300s and two A330-200s.

The aircraft will provide additional capacity on Oman Air”s regional and international routes from the airline”s base in the Sultanate of Oman to Europe and the Far East.

”Our decision to buy the Airbus A330 all came down to the suitability of the aircraft with our long terms strategy to operate an efficient and reliable fleet with proven operating costs.” said Oman Air CEO, Ziad Al- Haremi.

Haremi added, ”The A330 will help Oman Air in plans to grow services and it will help them do it using the aircraft with the lowest operating costs in its class, but also the aircraft which offers excellent flexibility for a wide range of route structures.”
