Airport Express appoints new sales head

Gill Sage has been appointed the new head of sales and distribution for the UK's Gatwick and Heathrow Express trains.
She joins from Carnival Corporation where she was responsible for charter, group, conference and incentive sales.
She will report to Kyle Houghton, Airport Express's sales and marketing director.

Gulf strengthens distribution team

Gulf Air has appointed two new managers to beef up its distribution and e-commerce team.
John Matthews becomes manager global distribution strategies and Nicola Simionato join as e-commerce manager.
Mr Matthews, an Indian national, worked for ten years for GDS Galileo in various roles.
In his new post, he will manage Gulf's relationships with the GDSs.
Mr Simionato, an Italian national, joins from Alitalia where he was commercial web development manager.

Amadeus promotes Copello

Travel technology company Amadeus has promoted Roberto Copello, its general manager in Greece and Cyrus since 1988, to a senior position at the company's headquarters in Madrid.
Mr Copello becomes senior manager human resources for Eastern southern Europe, the Middle East and Africa. He will take over his new role at the end of the month.
His position as general manager Amadeus Hellas will be taken by Eva Karamanou.
Ms Karamanou, who joined Amadeus Hellas in 2004 as commercial manager, will be based in Athens.

Emirates appoints new UK sales chief

Middle East carrier Emirates has appointed a former BA executive Glen Mintrim as its new head of sales for the UK and Ireland.
Mr Mintrim, 35, will lead a 35-strong sales team and be responsible for new strategies to drive revenue.
He held a variety of positions at BA, most recently as a manager in global accounts. Mr Mintrim previously held posts at First Choice and Co-op Travelcare.

Olivier Hudry joins Accor

Olivier Hudry, previously with SFR, Cegetel and Apple Europe, has joined French hotel group Accor as vp loyalty programme.
