bmi hires Webster
Ray Webster, former ceo of low cost carrier easyJet, has been hired by bmi as a consultant.
He will advise the airline on strategy for its loss-making no frills carrier bmibaby.
Mr Webster left easyJet in2005 after ten years with the airline.
Bmibaby was launched in 2002 and is a significant part of bmi's operation.
Näf confirmed as new Gulf ceo
Björn Näf has been confirmed as the new president and ceo of Gulf Air.
The airline's former chief operating officer was appointed as acting president and ceo last July after the resignation of Andre Dose.
The national carrier of Bahrain also announced two new board members Dr Mustafa AlSayed and Mr Jameel Al Matrook.
Chambers appoints new directors
Chambers Travel Management, a leading independent TMCTravel Management Company: An agency which manages business travel for a company. in the UK, has appointed two new board members.
Mr Andrew Perolls has joined the company as chief operating officer with a seat on the board while Mr John Thorpe becomes its non-executive chairman.
Mr Perolls has previously worked for HRG, where he was director of account management, Munich Re and BUPA Travel Services where he was managing director.
Mr Thorpe was previously ceo of GE Information Servcies.
Kleibl resigns as Austrian's CFO
Thomas Kleibl has resigned as chief financial officer for Austrian Airlines.
Mr Kleibl, 48, has held the post since October 1.
He will step down in March at the next meeting of the airline's supervisory board.
He told fellow members of the board that he had helped accomplish the turnaround of the carrier and now wanted to move on.
Austrian's ceo Alfred Ötsch will take over Mr Kleibl's responsibilities.
Eilon appointed to Silverjet board
Amir Eilon has been appointed to the board of Silverjet, the UK-based all business class airline, as a non-executive director.
Mr Eilon, 59, previously held a similar position from 1996-2008 with the low cost carrier easyJet.
He has also worked for many years in the financial sector with CSFB Private Equity, BZW and Morgan Stanley.
Nash re-joins HARP Wallen
Ian Nash has re-joined executive recruitment company HARP Wallen after a year with another job search firm ISIS.
Mr Nash who previously worked for HARP Wallen from 2005 to 2007, is returning as an associate reporting to managing director Kristina Wallen.
He will be dealing with specific recruitment assignments as well as overseeing a new company project.
