Schoiswohl joins HRG

Wolfgang Schoiswohl has joined Hogg Robinson Group (HRG) as its new managing director for Austria and Hungary.

He takes over from Peter Bernatzik who has left the travel management company to pursue "a different career path."

Mr Schoiswohl, a 40-year-old Austrian, worked for 16 years in a variety of roles for Austrian Airlines.

He more recently worked for the travel division of Austria's Verkehrsbüro Group.

In his new role which is based in Vienna, he will report to Beat Bürer, HRG's managing director for Europe Central.

Carlson Wagonlit promotes Francois

Carlson Wagonlit travel has promoted Elaine Francois to be its new director of human resources for the UK.

She takes over from Sue Kavanagh who has left the company after 20 years to pursue other interests.

Ms Francois has worked for CWT in its human resources team for 16 years.

Flint to leave HRG

Ian Flint is to leave Hogg Robinson Group where he headed the company's consulting services later this month to pursue "a new business opportunity."

Mr Flint joined HRG in 2006 when the TMCTravel Management Company: An agency which manages business travel for a company. acquired his business Ian Flint and Associates.

Mike Orchard, HRG's head of client consulting, is now overseeing the department.

Bongiovanni joins ACTEAssociation of Corporate Travel Executives: A non-profit association that represents the global business travel industry. It provides executive-level educational programmes and carries out independent industry research. Its members come from all areas of business travel - from corporate buyers to suppliers. Provides members with a forum for sharing ideas and also offers independent advice. Europe

Dario Bongiovanni has joined the Association of Corporate Travel Executives (ACTE) as a strategic consultant for Italy.

Mr Bongiovanni has previously worked in the sales division of major travel management companies before joining Sabre in 2006 as a corporate sales manager.

In 2007, he switched to GetThere where he worked as business development manager.

Avis UK appoints Baxter

Car rental company Avis UK has appointed Kim Baxter as its new fleet director.

Ms Baxter has worked 25 years in the industry and joins from Avis France which she joined in 2005.
