Kempinski promotes van Daalen and Henssler

 

Kempinski Hotels has appointed Gianni van Daalen as its new president of Europe and named Michael Henssler as its new regional director Western Europe and Morocco.

Mr Van Daalen has worked for the hotel chain for 12 years including eight years managing the Adlon Kempinski in Berlin and then as managing director as its flagship Russian property the Hotel Baltschug in Moscow.

Since 2005, Mr van Daalen has been vp Europe and Russia.

Before joining Kempinski, he worked for Hilton, Steigenberger and Nassauer Hof.

His new role puts him in charge of 29 of the chain's properties as well as a further 17 in the pipeline.

Mr Henssler joined Kempinski in 1998 and has since worked in Germany, Russia and the Middle East for the company.

He continues in his current role as general manager of the Grand Hotel Kempinski Geneva but will now also oversee the Hotel Dukes' Palace Bruges and the Le Mirador Lake Geneva, in as well as the company's three projects in Morocco.
