Portman Marine appoints marine sales manager

Portman Marine Travel has appointed Joe Pitcher as sales manager responsible for the growth of its specialist marine department.

Mr Pitcher has worked in the marine industry since 1992 during time which he spent three years with P&O Marine, later to be acquired by Portman in 2006.

Most recently he spent two years as sales and marketing manager at International Marine Travel Group.

Mr Pitcher will be based at Portman Marine's London headquarters where he will report to David Bishop, Portman's head of customer acquisition.

He will work closely with the marine operations team headed up by Denis Woodard.

Portman said the new appointment is part of its plan to become a leading global marine travel management companies (TMCs).
