BSI appoints relationships director

Hotel booking agent BSI has named Karen Hutchings as its director of business relationships.

Ms Hutchings joins BSI from financial services company Merrill Lynch where she oversaw global travel strategy.

In the past Ms Hutchings has also worked as European business manager for HRG.

BSI said that Ms Hutchings, as a member of its board of management, would help shape customer and supplier relationships.

Ms Hutchings will work closely with Sam Welch, BSI's head of customer relationships.
