American Express Business Travel names vp supplier relations

Michael Qualantone has been appointed vp and general manager global supplier relations, American Express Business Travel.

In his new role Mr Qualantone will manage strategic relationships with global supplier and technology partners including global distribution services and booking tools providers.

As a member of the Global Travel Services Executive Team, Mr Qualantone will report directly to Charles Petruccelli, president, American Express Global Travel Services.

In his most recent role as vice president, client services group, Mr Qualantone led strategic planning and execution on Amex's client service initiatives. 

Mr Qualantone has held leadership positions within finance, travel back office, and business travel during his 21-year career at American Express.

Prior to his role as vice president, client services group, he was vice president, on sites and customer solutions, and vice president, global distribution strategy.

Mr Qualantone replaces Andrew Winterton who will leave the company.
