Expedia launches new award scheme for UK affiliate programme

London, 9th April 2010 - Expedia today announces the launch of a new award scheme for its Travel Agencies Affiliate Programme (TAAP). Based on performance, partners can win silver, gold or platinum status and be rewarded with up to 11.5% commission.

Since TAAP launched in the UK in October 2008, the programme has increased its network to 715 travel agents with a 59% rise in subscriptions in the last six months alone. Of these, more than 30 partners have already achieved membership to the award scheme.
 
Diego Pedrani, Director Travel Agent Distribution, Expedia, says: "The new scheme has been designed to reward success for our partners who meet their targets. It's a great way for affiliates to earn additional revenue while helping their customers research, plan and book the right holiday. At the moment we're seeing bookings of dynamic packages soar - particularly to the US - as customers continue to seek out the best value holidays on the market."
 
Agents are provided with direct access to the Expedia inventory through a dedicated portal. From here, they can browse through thousands of flights, hotel accommodation and car hire combinations - as well as a wealth of destination services such as tickets for local transport systems, tourist attractions and excursions.
