Josi Kytle

Appointed as new head of marketing at Avis UK.  Joins from Avis Europe where she has been in charge of brand and marketing communications since 2006. Ms Kytle, a New Yorker, has previously worked in a number of roles for BA in London and her home city.

She replaces Xavier Vallee who has taken up his new role as head of direct marketing at Avis Europe.

Murray Hennessy

Takes over as CEO from Alan Tomlin who left the company at the end of last month.
Mr Hennessy joins thetrainline.com as more and more corporates use trains for business travel and a growing number of bookings are made online.
Mr Hennessy worked at Avis Europe for four years. Before that he has worked for the John Lewis Partnership, Buy.Com (UK) Limited, Pepsico Restaurant Services and Tricon Global Restaurants.

Avis launches 'Rapid Return'

AVIS, which claims to be Europe”s largest car rental company, has launched its newest customer service initiative called ”Rapid Return”, whereby clients dropping off their cars are dealt with by Avis staff kerb-side operating a hand held computer.
